This modular space promotes the values of arts and crafts and showcases emerging creative scenes to all audiences: schoolchildren, students, professionals, enthusiasts, families, hobbyists, and interested visitors.

With a café-restaurant, a boutique designed in collaboration with L’Atelier des matières, a corner run by the 7L bookshop, and the cultural garden la Parcelle, la Galerie du 19M has become a must-see destination in the north-east of Paris. By supporting the region’s tremendous creative energy (through sponsorship from Kourtrajmé, Casa 93, the Aubervilliers endowment fund, etc.), la Galerie du 19M is creating a social project for the community.

It has welcomed over 70,000 people since its inauguration by Emmanuel Macron in January 2022.

the Cultural Programm

Its free, fun, multi-disciplinary programme includes exhibitions, hands-on workshops, talks, and educational and cultural events, all designed with a community of cultural partners (Villa Noailles, Fondation Picto, POUSH, etc.) and in collaboration with the artisans of the Maisons d’art.

It invites visitors to discover the skills and savoir-faire of the craftspeople, to dream of their creative wealth, to stimulate innovation through the intersection of artistic disciplines, and to help inspire vocations or a desire to change careers.

Off-site

la Galerie du 19M off-site itineraries are an ephemeral way of duplicating la Gallery's principle in a city with a strong cultural identity.

These 19M galleries off-sites are a genuine vehicle for transmission, helping to raise the profile of French arts and crafts and know-how, while enriching them with new creative dialogues. la Galerie du 19M has broadened its horizons with the opening of two new ephemeral galleries: at Fort Saint Jean in Marseille from 3 to 26 May 2024, and at the Musée Théodore Monod/IFAN in Dakar.

la Galerie du 19M Marseille invited itself to Fort Saint Jean in Marseille from 3 to 26 May 2024.
