Guided tour of the exhibition and presentation of a Métier kit

From January 29 to April 26, 2026, the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: From Tokyo to Paris will be on display at la Galerie du 19M in Paris/Aubervilliers.

On this occasion, we are offering guided tours led by mediators, free of charge for school groups, after-school groups, higher education groups, and associations.

Guided tour and collaborative workshop

Alongside the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris, la Galerie du 19M is organising a free collaborative workshop in which participants are invited to embroider their own tanzaku—small strips of washipaper on which to write a wish—in collaboration with the embroidery house Atelier Montex and Sébastien Desplat.

This free workshop is held every Thursday for school and community groups between 2 and 5 p.m., for a maximum of 24 participants.

A creative and enriching experience for visitors from the age of 10.

The presentation of a Craft Case is not included in this offer.

Discover materials

the 19M Métier kits invite interested visitors to enjoy a fun and immersive experience of the Métiers d'art, where each participant becomes an active player in their discovery.

Designed in collaboration with the resident Maisons d'art at le19M, they allow everyone to discover the exceptional savoir-faire behind each handcrafted creation, through tools, samples, and step-by-step instructions.

Six kits are available to reserve, to discover the richness of the following crafts:

  • Hat-making

  • Embroidery

  • Weaving

  • Artificial flowers

  • Featherwork

  • Pleating

These kits allow for a creative and sensory exploration of the materials. They are aimed at school groups, craft enthusiasts, and groups of professionals and designers looking for new inspiration.

They offer a unique look behind-the-scenes of the Métiers d'art, allowing you to enrich your knowledge and stimulate your creativity!
