Launched in spring 2024, la Parcelle is a free cultural garden open to all. Supported by le19M, it offers families and residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods a new space for socialising, discovery, and community.

This year, la Parcelle reopened its doors on 7 March. Open to visitors of all ages, it invites the public to explore its greenhouse, vegetable garden, flower farm, and playground every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Children from the age of 5 can take part in creative and educational workshops exploring the world of nature run by the Vergers Urbains association every Saturday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The Maison des Petits at CENTQUATRE-PARIS is extending its presence at la Parcelle and welcomes parents and children free of charge every Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. in a welcoming space.

Workshops designed for families...

In conjunction with the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris on display at la Galerie du 19M, the Vergers Urbains association is running a series of plant-themed workshops at la Parcelle: kokedama, tataki zome, and kisetsu.

Inspired by Japanese craftsmanship, these workshops invite children and their parents to discover the art of plants and learn traditional techniques.

Until 2 May, every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 to 3.30 p.m.

… to explore, learn, and spend time together.

The Maison des Petits at CENTQUATRE-PARIS

To support children’s first steps, two carers offer children from birth to the age of 5, accompanied by their parents, a free, anonymous drop-in session with no registration required. An opportunity to play, draw, read, or share moments of creative expression.

Children and parents explore different themes together through the discovery of a variety of craft and artistic skills. All the senses are engaged to create a rich, sensitive, and immersive artistic experience.

The Play Area

Budding adventurers can explore every corner of the play area, shoot down the slide, climb, and let their imaginations run wild in the wooden huts in la Parcelle’s play area.

The Greenhouse, Vegetable Garden, and Flower Farm

Designed as a small garden for exploration, la Parcelle can be explored freely or by following a playful trail. Along the way, a treasure hunt and educational signage invite visitors of all ages to observe the natural world so as to better understand it and learn through play.

In collaboration with Vergers Urbains, the plants for the flower farm and greenhouse have been carefully selected. In harmony with the vegetable garden, this area for cultivation provides vegetables, fruit, and herbs as an educational resource designed to promote the sharing of knowledge and raise awareness of environmental issues.

An exploration that awakens the senses, through colours, scents, and textures, providing a playful immersion in the world of plants.
