la Parcelle is celebrating the end of the season by transforming itself into a playground for visitors of all ages: a huge, joyful fête showcasing movement, performance, and dance.

A programme organised in partnership with POUSH, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS and LA CREOLE, for you to dance the night away.

Afternoon

From 3 to 6 p.m

Les Rencontres Joyeuses by the Maison des Petits from CENTQUATRE-PARIS

Upcycled weaving workshops, a large “dripping” mural, and colouring puzzles will delight our youngest visitors!

Le Petit Théâtre by Valentine Prissette & John Fou, resident artists at POUSH

A textile and pictorial theatre set comes to life. The audience is invited to invent characters and props for this puppet circus, combining creation, performance, and images. A performance workshop devised by the artists Valentine Prissette and John Fou.
Ages 8+

DJ sets by Radio Minus

A playful selection of rare music, drawn from vinyl records made for children around the world. A blend of musical relaxation and new sounds to accompany the afternoon workshops.

The afternoon will feature the event Wrestling Society, wrestling performances by artist Clément Courgeon at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

6.30–7.30 p.m.: Dance workshop with Patricia Badin

This workshop offers an exploration of twerking as an artistic, political, and physical practice. Focusing on the pelvis and musicality, it draws on bouyon and Afro-diasporic rhythms. Participants will work on both letting go and technique: isolations, undulations, vibrations, and movement control. More than just a workout, it is a space for transmission and reappropriation of the body, where movement becomes a language of resistance, power, and freedom.

8.00–8.30 p.m.: SOUL performance by LA CREOLE

LA CREOLE is a multidisciplinary collective dedicated to promoting hybridized cultures. Its mission is rooted in writer Edouard Glissant’s concept of the tout-monde: a world we share based on the principle of the interpenetration of cultures.

8.30–10.30 p.m.: DJ set by Doubi

A specialist in Caribbean music, Doubi travels through genre: his sets navigate between dancehall, shatta, bouyon, zouk, soca, and afrobeat, creating a unifying and powerful atmosphere that will get every audience moving.

Web radio

An unconventional web radio station for curious young listeners, Radio Minus aims to seek out, archive, document, and share with as many people as possible the hidden treasures of music made for and by children: music from every country, style, and era, ranging from the good to the bad. Run by a team of enthusiasts at the cutting edge of the field, who collect the most unlikely records gleaned during their travels in France and abroad, the station happily shares its collection through vinyl DJ sets.

Doubi

Doubi is a DJ from Guadeloupe. After spending more than twenty years on her home island, she decided to move to mainland France to take her career to the next level. Wherever she performs, she proudly represents Guadeloupe and radiates a unique energy through her sets.

A specialist in Caribbean music, Doubi does not limit herself to a single genre: her sets range from dancehall, shatta, bouyon, zouk, soca and afrobeat, creating a unifying and powerful atmosphere that will get every audience moving.

LA CREOLE

Multidisciplinary collective

Driven by what has become a large family of DJs and dancers, the fusion of these creative spirits sets their eponymous party alight, which has been rocking Paris since January 2018.

Conceived as an immersive laboratory, this event is the perfect blend of a sound system and an underground techno party, infused with carnival-like energy and a sprinkling of vogue-beats.

Valentine Prissette

Visual artist

Valentine Prissette is a visual artist born in 1998, who graduated from the École des beaux-arts de Cergy in 2022. Her practice centres on installations combining textiles, wood, and wax. Through scenographic installations, she creates fragments of interiors—uninhabited scenes from a theatre that has come to a standstill. For the solo exhibition Sleeping Paintings, through familiar forms, she conjures up the ambiguous tales that we recite before sleep. Her latest series plays with the sense of scale; within the maquettes, the embroidered designs become new protagonists.

Clément Courgeon

Artist

Born in 1997 in Paris, where he lives and works, Clément Courgeon’s multidisciplinary work centres on the creation of characters—the jester, the pedlar, the wooden man, the Prince of the Piggy Bank—which he accompanies with costumes, props, or mobile sculptures that serve as settings for his performances.

Inspired as much by the carnival and folk traditions of the Middle Ages as by contemporary popular practices such as wrestling, his work, often described as “pop-grotesque”, challenges artistic conventions and social constructs, questioning our relationship with marginality and the masquerade.

John Fou

Artist

Having spent close to fifteen years in the circus, dance, and theatre, John Fou (born in 1983 in Les Lilas) has now shifted his practice to drawing and painting.

In often large-scale works, he depicts anonymous figures, animals, celestial objects, and symbolic elements. His vibrant, graphic compositions can still evoke the circus ring of jugglers and acrobats. However, in the self-contained, timeless world they depict, the lions are not tame. Violence, love, and frenzied chases are not feigned, but manifest as pure, archetypal emotions.

Patricia Badin

Dancer, choreographer and activist

A dancer, choreographer and activist from Guadeloupe, Patricia Badin has been a pioneer of twerking in France since 2015 and is the founder of the Twerk Alert Crew collective. Trained at the École des Sables in Senegal and Studio Berçot, she champions an Afro-feminist and decolonised vision of twerking, rooted in its African—notably Ivorian mapouka—and Afro-Caribbean origins. She has performed on major stages such as the Paris Opera, the Palais de Tokyo, and the Musée du quai Branly.
