To mark the 42nd European Heritage Days on the theme of architectural heritage, le19M is opening its doors to the public for a one-off event, offering a unique tour to discover its craftsmanship, architecture, and cultural spaces.
Friday 19 September is reserved for school and community groups.

An immersion in the heart of craftsmanship: Maison Michel
The tour begins with a special tour of the workshops at Maison Michel, a Parisian hatmaker founded in 1936.
As a resident Maison d’art at le19M, it upholds unique savoir-faire and renowned fashion expertise. A supplier to the world’s leading Prêt-à-Porter and Haute Couture houses, Maison Michel has an archive of over 3,000 hat blocks—a living heritage and an inexhaustible source of creativity.
Tour of le19M: A piece of architectural heritage designed by Rudy Ricciotti
Designed by the architect Rudy Ricciotti, the 19M building stands out for its monumental fibre-reinforced concrete facade, which resembles a giant weave.
Opening out onto the city and bathed in light, it symbolises both the strength and refinement of the Métiers d’art, embodying the mission of le19M: to preserve a living heritage, promote its transmission, and build bridges between craftsmanship and contemporary society.
Visit the exhibition Trouver son monde
The experience continues at la Galerie du 19M with the exhibition Trouver son monde.
Bringing together 17 young designers, the exhibition explores the theme of transmission through a diverse range of works—textiles, embroidery, video, photography, and installations—in dialogue with the Maisons d’art of le19M.
