To mark the first late-night opening of Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris, la Galerie du 19M is teaming up with KIBLIND magazine for an artistic battle in which illustrators compete in public with their pens.
An evening dedicated to drawing that celebrates the gesture... and the pencil.
From 7 to 10 p.m.

The exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris will be open and accessible until 9 p.m.
The Galerie du 19M is celebrating this art of drawing on this evening in partnership with KIBLIND, a magazine dedicated to visual culture and contemporary illustration, by organising a drawing battle: an artistic match where illustrators compete in public with their pens.
With : Lil Sire, Antoine Duruflé, Marie Yae and Olivier Philiponneau.
Positioned on either side of the stage with only tablets and styluses as their weapons, two teams of illustrators compete on a set theme over several rounds. The audience will vote live, giving the duel a festive and spontaneous atmosphere.
French-Japanese singer-songwriter Maïa Barouh will close the evening with a stripped-down solo guitar-and-vocals performance.
Since 2004, KIBLIND has been dedicated to contemporary and international illustration through the publication of KIBLIND Magazine, a free, independent biannual magazine distributed throughout France.
Its creation marked the beginning of a project and a history dedicated entirely to illustration and its dissemination as an art form in its own right and as an applied art, to express ideas, stories, and emotions. Over the past 20 years, it has gained recognition and has become a hub for a network of artists, creatives, and enthusiasts in France and internationally. Along the way, KIBLIND has also diversified its activities by opening its visual communication agency, printing workshop, and shops in Lyon and Paris.
In 2023, KIBLIND further expanded its activities by creating new forms of events bringing together illustration and illustrators and the public through its international illustration festival.
