Since her solo exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in 2018, artist Mélanie Matranga has been working on chōchin lanterns. Her large installations create a sense of the intimate in public space.

This workshop invites young participants to discover the technique of creating traditional Japanese lanterns, known as chōchin, made from washi paper, which they can decorate as they wish.
