In this new episode, we follow the lines of artist Pauline Guerrier’s hand. A sculptor and visual artist, she regards her hands as her most precious tool, paving the way for a universal language that allows her to move from idea to form and to enter into dialogue with materials.

Born into a family of artists and artisans, Pauline Guerrier grew up surrounded by workshops, in a world where working with one’s hands was part of daily life. As a resident at le19M’s partner POUSH—a venue dedicated to supporting artistic creation which combines an art centre and artists’ studios—her practice draws on the transmission of skills, the long process of apprenticeship, and encounters with craftspeople from around the world.

A long-standing collaborator of le19M, Pauline Guerrier has taken part in several exhibitions, including three off-site shows in Dakar, Marseille, and Tokyo. Her work is currently on display in the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris, running until 26 April 2026. In this episode, she discusses the precision of the gesture, the memory of the hands, and the collective dimension of creation, where each work becomes a space for connection and transmission.

les Lignes de la Main (The Lines of the Hand) is a podcast series that explores the intimate relationship between creators and their hands.

A podcast produced for le19M by Géraldine Sarratia, directed by Guillaume Girault.
