A Look Back at
the Great Spring Festival
Last Saturday, April 25th, le19M celebrated the arrival of spring by welcoming over 2,000 visitors to the Gallery and the outdoor space for the Great Spring Festival.
In a convivial atmosphere inspired by traditional Japanese matsuri—festivals marking the changing of seasons—the spaces were transformed for a day into a place of discovery and sharing.
On the program: vegetable impressions using tataki zomé technique, embroidery on washi paper, and woodblock engraving with Sébastien Desplat—three introductory workshops to traditional crafts designed to echo the Beyond our Horizons exhibition: from Tokyo to Paris.
For this festive day, Atelier Ko, specializing in floral creations, Shopu, a concept store of objects inspired by Japanese art de vivre, and Umai, a Japanese gourmet grocery store located in the 19th arrondissement, were present to extend the journey between Tokyo and Paris.
