In this new episode of les Lignes de la main, we follow Christelle Kocher, Artistic Director of Maison Lemarié. Through an international career, from Central Saint Martins to major fashion houses, she has built a unique vision bringing together craftsmanship of the highest order, contemporary culture, and diverse influences.

Since 2010, Christelle Kocher has been at the helm of Lemarié, the resident Maison d’art at le19M. She preserves and transforms rare skills—featherwork, flower-making, pleating, textile finishing, and couture—by embedding them in a contemporary dynamic, one that is open to innovation and new applications. As you wander through the Lemarié workshops, amidst archives, pleats, flowers, and feathers, a collective vision of creation emerges, where every gesture counts and where innovation arises from the dialogue between heritage and the contemporary.

In this episode, Christelle Kocher looks back on her childhood, shaped by movement and craftsmanship, on learning to draw as a form of expression, and on the emergence of a vocation inspired as much by popular culture as by the great figures of the fashion world.

les Lignes de la Main (The Lines of the Hand) is a podcast series that explores the intimate relationship between creators and their hands. A podcast produced for le19M by Géraldine Sarratia, directed by Emmanuel Baux.
