Until 18 October 2026, the Palais Galliera, the City of Paris’s fashion museum, is presenting the exhibition « Tisser, broder et sublimer. Les savoir-faire de la mode » in the Gabrielle Chanel galleries.

The savoir-faire of le19M’s resident Maisons d’art—including Atelier Montex, Desrues, Goossens, Lemarié, and Lesage—takes centre stage, showcased through samples, garments, and tools that reveal exceptional artisanal work. The pieces on display bear witness to the mastery of rare skills and the extraordinary virtuosity of these art houses.

The first in a series of three exhibitions dedicated to the techniques of the Métiers d’art of fashion, this instalment highlights the art of ornamentation, through the floral motif, a major source of inspiration in textile art since the eighteenth century.
