Behind the scenes of an extraordinary contemporary creation
The Grand Palais and le19M joined forces to create a monumental textile curtain, celebrating the richness of the savoir-faire of excellence while exalting the majesty of the glass roof. This unique, exceptional ornamental creation can be viewed all year round, free of charge, from the central square of the Grand Palais.
As a centre for the Métiers d’art of fashion and decoration, le19M called on the expertise of the Maisons d’art du 19M, with the artistic coordination of Studio MTX, a design studio and production workshop that specialises in architectural embroidery. The result is a creation measuring fifteen metres wide by eight metres high, composed of nine movable panels suspended from the building’s joists.
