Since opening its doors to the general public in 2022, la Galerie du 19M has welcomed visitors from all walks of life— craft enthusiasts, schoolchildren and students, professionals, families, young apprentices, and local associations— in a friendly space that encourages dialogue, with a special focus on youth.

Children’s activities at la Galerie du 19M

On Saturday mornings, from 11 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., la Galerie du 19M hosts creative children’s workshops. These fun and educational activities invite children to discover the savoir-faire of the resident Maisons d’art, through activities suited to their age.

After the workshop, the family experience can be extended with a visit to the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris, either with or without a guide.

For a lunch break, le Café du 19M offers a selection of dishes and drinks for the whole family to enjoy, from Wednesday to Sunday.

Guided tour of the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris

Designed for visitors of all ages, the guided family tours on Saturday afternoons offer a fun and immersive approach to the Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris exhibition, celebrating the creative dialogue between Japanese and French artisans and designers.

In small groups, accompanied by a mediator, children (aged 6 and up) and their parents are invited to explore the exhibition and explore its themes.

Every Saturday from 21 February, from 4 to 5 p.m.

Children’s activities at la Parcelle

Every Saturday until the end of April, from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2 to 3.30 p.m., la Parcelle’s programme of workshops takes inspiration from Japanese culture, reflecting the exhibition Beyond our Horizons: from Tokyo to Paris on show at la Galerie du 19M.

Parents and children are invited to explore this universe through three workshops inspired by Japanese savoir-faire: kokedama, tataki zome, and kisetsu.
