Ornementa’s Petit cinéma with Alix Bortoli

Alix Bortoli is a French filmmaker and artist living in Paris. After studying at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, she set about developing her artistic universe by making fashion and animation films. These early years were an opportunity for Bortoli to design editorial projects and art films, refining her choices of mediums and themes. Her artistic approach offers an immersive 360-degree experience. From conception to post-production, live action, and animation, Bortoli creates fascinating films that explore materials, colours, and dance. Constantly experimenting, her work is inspired by craft, design, Art Brut, and Eastern European animation.
