For the first time, le19M presents Mains d’avenir, a two-day event dedicated to exploring the Métiers d’art of fashion and decoration. Discover the savoir-faire of the artisans and their career paths, try your hand at these rare techniques during hands-on workshops, meet industry experts, and attend panel discussions moderated by journalists from Le Monde.
Saturday 2 March, open to all, is divided into three sessions: 9 a.m.–12 p.m., 12.30 p.m.–3.30 p.m., 4 p.m.–7 p.m.
Visitors will be able to discover the artisans’ skills, attend hands-on workshops, and meet with Métiers d’art experts throughout the day.
« Mains d’avenir » showcases nine traditional crafts from the resident Maisons d’art of le19M: jewellery with Desrues, shoe-making with Massaro, embroidery with Atelier Montex and Lesage, hatmaking with Maison Michel, couture with Paloma and Lemarié, corsetry with ERES, goldsmithing with Goossens, feather work and flower work with Lemarié, and weaving with Lesage.
At booths dedicated to each trade, visitors can meet specialist artisans and chat with them about their careers, skills, and aspirations.

Throughout the day, you can also visit a training and careers guidance area, where you can speak with representatives from the Paris regional education authority, school heads, and trade experts from le19M.
