the Artist

Théophile Peris
Born in Agen in 1997, Théophile Peris lives and works in Marseille. He is a graduate of the EESI Poitiers art school. His artistic practice revolves around ancestral production methods, using materials found in nature or the immediate environment: water, earth, wood, stone, bone, as well as recycled objects to which he gives a new identity. Over the last few years, wool from shearing has become a central material in his work, structured by the different stages of its transformation.
Théophile Peris' work was presented at la Galerie du 19M Marseille in 2024.
