le Café du 19M
le Café du 19M is reopening very soon!
Committed and creative cuisine on the edge of Paris
le Café du 19M welcomes you with a new offering from May, 7th 2023. Designed by renowned chefs, baristas, and food artisans, it offers a diverse menu with affordable prices in the unique setting of la Galerie du 19M.
With creativity at its core, an eatery designed as an extension of la Galerie du 19M
le Café du 19M is a natural extension of la Galerie du 19M, a multi-disciplinary space dedicated to art and fashion, decoration and design.
The gallery is located on the ground floor of le19M, a creative hub founded by CHANEL located between the 19th arrondissement of Paris and Aubervilliers. The building was designed by Rudy Ricciotti, winner of the Grand Prix National de l’Architecture in 2006, and the architect of iconic buildings including the MUCEM in Marseille and the Jean-Bouin stadium in Paris.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere ideal for a business lunch or a gourmet break, le Café du 19M offers an enhanced experience to visitors to the Gallery, whether they are art or craft lovers, digital nomads, foodies, local residents, or simply curious. As an homage to the artists, artistic techniques, and themes of the exhibitions, the menu evolves according to the seasons and to the exhibitions, creating a dialogue between the two spaces. With impressive high ceilings, the 40-cover dining space enjoys natural light throughout the day. Its elegant and contemporary furniture was custom-designed by Studio GGSV and produced in collaboration with local organisations and artisans.

An unfussy cuisine grounded in the Île-de-France region
le Café du 19M combines creativity and environmental responsibility : the chef Laurine Marty has created a menu which honours the flavours of the Île-de-France region with care and patience.
On the menu, traditional Parisian bistro dishes are combined with elegance, and street food is given a plantbased twist. The dishes are driven by a cuisine that pays attention to the seasons and to sourcing : le Café du 19M favours local produce by working closely with farmers, growers, and producers from Île-de-France, as well as winegrowers, brewers, and fishermen from a little further afield. Vegetables, fruit, and wild herbs are given pride of place, without excluding meat and fish.
A team of enthusiasts accompanied by local artisans and suppliers
le Café du 19M team is made up of passionate and talented professionals who share a desire to provide an unforgettable and warm culinary experience to their visitors. The chef, Laurine Marty, is accompanied in the dining room by Lysa Velasquez, who recently returned from Mexico.
le Café du 19M was conceived and is operated by the Grand Cuisine agency, which specialises in the creation of cultural projects. Its founders, Patricia Meunier and Mat Gallet, also run Gelinaz! an international think tank focusing on the arts and cuisine.
le Café du 19M is proud to work closely with local artisans, suppliers, and other stakeholders who share the same values and commitment to quality and respect for the environment. For example, Beans On Fire, a committed and passionate roaster located less than a kilometre from le19M, carefully selects coffees from ethical producers.
By working hand in hand with these local partners, le Café du 19M celebrates and values their savoir-faire, creativity, and commitment contributing to an authentic and unforgettable culinary experience for its visitors.
