Since October 2019, Olivia Marsaud has been the director of Galerie Le Manège in Dakar, the exhibition space of the Institut Français of Senegal for contemporary Senegalese, French, and international creation. She spent four years in Niger where she was responsible for the artistic programming of the Jean Rouch Franco-Nigerian Cultural Centre, organising large-scale exhibitions at the National Museum of Niger and the Sultan’s Palace in Zinder. Before becoming an exhibition curator and cultural programmer, she was a journalist for fifteen years, specialising in the African continent and its diasporas.

El Hadji Malick Ndiaye is a doctoral student at the University of Rennes II and a post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratoire d’excellence Création, Arts et Patrimoines (Labex CAP) and the Centre de Recherches sur les Arts et le Langage of the EHESS/CNRS. He is currently a researcher at IFAN (Institut fondamentale d’Afrique noire - Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar), curator of the Musée Théodore Monod d’art africain, and secretary general of ICOM Senegal. He was the artistic director of the Dakar Biennale of Contemporary African Art in 2022 and is co-curating the Paris-Dakar 1966 exhibition scheduled for the reopening of the Grand Palais in Paris in 2025.

Born in Dakar, formerly a sociology professor at La Sorbonne in Paris, Riad Fakhri founded TRAMES in 2018, a private cultural centre nestled in the heart of the Senegalese capital. A socially engaged incubator dedicated to fostering talent, this organisation encourages artists to develop personal work on social issues. TRAMES is also a partner of the Kourtrajmé film school and it hosts a branch of the school in its Dakar premises.

Selly Raby Kane is a Senegalese artist, filmmaker, and fashion designer who launched her eponymous brand in 2012. From its very first collections, the brand has broken the mould of Senegalese fashion. Influenced by fantasy cinema, her avant-garde clothing line has been widely publicised and presented in prestigious cultural institutions around the world. Kane’s aesthetic combines collage techniques, surreal imagery, and references to Senegal’s intangible cultural heritage. Deeply inspired by the city, her films explore Dakar’s urban archives and capture its underground beauty.

Currently living between Dakar and Los Angeles, Audrey d’Erneville is a versatile creative who has worked on campaigns for several prestigious agencies and clients. She has also developed an artistic practice influenced by her Senegalese culture and her taste for the use of colour. In 2021, her works were presented in the exhibition L’Année d’après at the Théâtre Paris Villette, as part of the Génération A festival and her first large painting was exhibited during the Dakar Biennale 2022. Audrey’s style has been described as pop, with a nostalgic touch.

Founder of Birsel+Seck, a design studio based in New York, and founder of Dakar Next, a design lab in Dakar, Bibi Seck began his career as a designer at Renault. Originally from Senegal, he focused on developing best practices in design in West Africa, demonstrating the value of design as an economic resource in developing countries. In 2020, he founded the Quatorzerohuit studio with his friend and partner Oumar Sow, an art centre dedicated to contemporary art and design.

After completing her baccalaureate in Lomé, Togo, Mamy Tall studied architecture in Montreal, where she developed an interest in the use of non-industrialized local materials. After co-founding a platform promoting cultural tourism in Senegal, she moved to Dakar and began a career at the Agence de gestion de patrimoine bâti de l’État (AGPBE). She now works at the presidential Bureau d’architecture et de conservation des palais nationaux and represents the Wilmotte & Associés agency in Senegal, notably for the renovation project of the former Palais de Justice in Dakar.
