Bintou Simporé will be in conversation with Khadija Ba, the designer of the brand L’Artisane and of the Sandaga boutique in Dakar. Ba embodies both the historical and contemporary Dakar, and she is the cover girl of the latest OFF TO magazine. The journalist, film-maker, and creator of the magazine OFF TO, Liz Gomis will also participate, along with a host of other guests from both Paris and Dakar!

During the show, dancer Frankwa Marna, the 2019 world champion in the “House Dance” category, will be presenting an exclusive performance.

The evening will be rounded off with an Afro-house DJ set by Antoinette Gomis, and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Sur le fil: de Dakar à Paris exhibition, which will be open late especially for the occasion.

At le Café du 19M, the BMK eatery will be taking over with a special menu for the evening.

The programme will be broadcast on Radio Nova on Sunday 25 June.

For its fourth issue, OFF TO is landing in Dakar. From the administrative centre of the Plateau to the Lébous fishing beaches of Yoff, the magazine is going on a journey through the Senegalese capital, capturing the vibes of the many facets of the city, looking to its future and its urban, economic, and environmental challenges. This issue resonates with Dakar, taking the pulse of its ever-evolving creative and cultural scene.

OFF TO is a biannual, timeless, bilingual magazine offering a unique perspective on Africa’s metropolises. Dedicated to exploring a major African city through the eyes of those who shape and live it, OFF TO is a jumping-off point for a forward-looking conversation about the economic, cultural, social, urban, and environmental challenges of the future. OFF TO is also a travel magazine, a common-sense guide to understanding a given African urban space and understanding the subtleties of its different cultures.
