Trouver son monde - la Galerie du 19M

From 17 September to 14 December 2025, la Galerie du 19M presents Trouver son monde (Finding Your World), a group exhibition dedicated to contemporary creation and the Métiers d'art, with a focus on transmission.

Open to everyone and free of charge, Trouver son monde invites visitors to embark on an intimate and collective quest alongside seventeen French designers and the resident Maisons d'art at le19M. Through a rich and immersive journey, visitors and enthusiasts will discover a unique dialogue between contemporary creation and the savoir-faire of the Métiers d'art applied to fashion and decoration.

Driven by the transmission of knowledge, at le19M the creative process takes flight through the passing on of a gesture, the echo of a story, the imprint of a memory, or the power of place. The works on display, whether painted out of friendship, filmed for posterity, photographed during travels, sculpted as a legacy, or embroidered according to tradition, become living symbols of these exchanges, weaving a subtle connection between personal memory and collective narratives.

In this context, the exhibition Trouver son monde highlights unique collaborations between Maisons d'art and young creators, illustrating the ambition of la Galerie du 19M: to preserve a living heritage while exploring new creative territories.

The embroiderers of Atelier Montex and Maison Lesage, the Paloma grand flou workshop, the featherworker Lemarié, and the Atelier Lognon pleater have thus combined their savoir-faire with the creative energy of emerging artists. These partnerships have given rise to a genuine dialogue between artisans and designers, combining traditional techniques with bold approaches to reinvent the Métiers d'art and reveal them in a resolutely contemporary light.
